Manuela Ris-Schofield

As the primary consultant, Manuela Ris-Schofield has extensive experience in preparing Cost of Service applications and regulatory submissions on behalf of various Ontario utilities. Manuela provides suggestion for the development of codes and regulations through active participation and representation on essential 

working groups.

Her past experience required her to operate across multiple functional boundaries and the effective use of both internal and external resources. Through her years of experience in the industry, she has acquired in-depth experience in rate design and has a clear understanding of both the “pre’ and “post” filing process of a cost of service applications. She has held a regulatory position in a utility and thus understand the regulatory burden of utilities.

Manuela’s experience includes work with utilities of various sizes and developing balanced public interest solutions that deliver fair returns and ratepayer benefits while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Manuela held the position of Regulatory Officer at Oakville Hydro where she performed various regulatory tasks such as preparing all documentation and submission required to meet the regulatory requirements of the Corporation, supported executive management in advising management on business issues within the context of the regulatory requirements of the OEB and ensured that the corporation operated in continuous compliance with OEB regulations. Manuela holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
